Summer 2010
First Fridays in the Quiet Garden
Join us at the beginning of the month as we take time to slow the pace and enjoy a quiet place to pause and let our bodies and minds rest and our hearts awaken. We begin at 10:00 am with an opening meditation and gather again at 2:45 pm for a closing circle. The time in between is intentionally unstructured to allow each person time and space to do what is most nurturing whether it is expressing with creative materials, reflecting, praying or meditating in the outdoor chapel or the labyrinth garden, enjoying one of the many gardens and natural areas, reading or even napping. Come for all or part of the day as your schedule permits.
First Friday of June from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
- June 4: The Gift of Surprise
Led by Pat Bailey and Dee Irwin, Co-Directors of Healing Ground and Healing Ground volunteers

Wild Nature: Honoring and Engaging
Your Animal Companions
A SoulCollage® Workshop
SoulCollage® is a spiritual, creative and intuitive process in which participants can eventually create a deck of cards based on the four suits created by Seena Frost. The Companion Suit holds the animal totems. These are the power animals that correspond with the seven major chakras or body energy centers. During this workshop, guided imagery, drumming and an intuition walking meditation will aid participants to identify their own animal companions and create cards that are deeply personal and instructive.
Led by Kim Goldstein, a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice. She is a collage and jewelry artist. She is joined by Donna Anthony, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked at Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro for ten years. She is a fabric assemblage artist and pastel artist. Donna and Kim completed the facilitator training for SoulCollage®, led by Seena Frost, in 2008. They have led SoulCollage® workshops as part of their HeartWorks Women’s Workshops.
